NONONO was a printed project created by NeEss (Nessuno Escluso Associazione), based in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
NONONO Zine was created collecting illustrations and visual contents around three macro-themes:
knowledge, self-awareness and inclusion of diversity.
For NONONO Zine #1, I was asked to create illustrations that could speak about how hard it is to see ourselves included in mass media communications, especially through and in television programs.
In #2 issue, I focused more on what we perceive as normal in ourselves and in others.
Surprisingly, people in general tend to find others (and their behaviour) more normal than they perceive themselves and their activities, choices and lifestyle (bias in metaperception).
Are we able to see things as they really are outside of us?
Why sometimes we fall inside wicked traps of self-biased metaperception?
Is our external image reflecting what we bring with us inside,
or is the other way around?
